Candles with repurpose!
R & R Candles started in 2018 with a mission to give back. The mission was to take beer, soda, water cans that would other wise end up in our landfills and Recycle- Repurpose into wonderfully scented candles & donate a percentage of the sales to charity animal Rescue organizations.
Repurpose and Rescue (R & R) Candles not only benefit the community through sustainability by recycling cans but benefit our animals by donating back to animal/pet rescue group.
It all started in 1990 when the founder started out as a social worker helping elderly people in their environment and eventually medically caring for people as an ER & ICU nurse. After 25 years in health care, retired and a desire/passion to continue to give back to our environment through sustainability by Recycling artistic beer/soda/water cans that would otherwise end up in the land-fills and Repurposing into unique, artistic candles & giving a percentage of proceeds donated back to an animal Rescue group; R&R Candles was born!
Even though we are a small business, we strive to support other local, small business through local sourcing by purchasing over 90% of product inventory from local businesses and community earning us the Ohio Proud Badge and all other product inventory coming from USA! Every candle is hand-poured in small batches and no order is too big for us to handle! We take great strive and pride in hand-pouring each candle with love & excellence!!!
On a personal note, we currently enjoy the daily company of 4 dogs, Sage, Willow, Gypsy Rose, and Bones. In addition to living in a pet-friendly home, that also includes quite a few turtles, bird (Twitty) & Bearded Dragon lizard (Lizzy); we have a passion for helping all animals including wildlife and are long term benefactors of Ohio Wildlife Center!
In addition, R & R candles happily partner with charity and non-profit groups who would like to raise money for their organization’s cause.
We also will provide wholesale pricing for greater quantity orders & businesses and private label services to organizations, businesses, corporations and individuals with an opportunity for their logo to be on our candles!
One of the many thing that sets us apart is not only are candle with a cause(s) but also our customized services of most of our candles from the type of candle, type of wax and scent to meet that “special memory.” We Customize most of our candles to fit our customer’s needs and situation and to bring a memory back to them and their loved ones and friends through a certain scent or candle! Sometimes I personally see my rescue similar to R&R Candles because we take what others would throw away and find new purpose and new homes. My rescue is small, in home foster based till that right furever comes along. R&R has been a huge help donating a percentage of her sales to the rescue community and we all greatly appreciate what she’s doing”
